Group Prenatal Care:
replaces individual one-on-one prenatal visits with a series of
group meetings with women at approximately the same gestation.
In addition to the same confidential testing and screening women
would receive in individual prenatal care, Group Prenatal Care
participants receive education, resource referral, and group
support. Using this cutting-edge model, prenatal care is
provided to women and their partners in groups of about ten who
meet regularly for both professional and peer support throughout
pregnancy and early parenthood.
